It has been a while (say Halo 2) since I wanted a game so much as I do now. ArenaNet's debut game, named Guild Wars, is set for a worldwide release on 28th of April. Guild Wars is a CORPG consisting of districts where users meet, missions for epic quests (unlike WoW and explorable areas. The difference with MMORPGs is that Guild Wars as a game consists of instances, both the explorable areas and missions. This means you can only go with a small group of friends, or alone (with NPCs). However it also means you will not have unrealistic spamming of enemies, no other people killing your monster in front of you thus no waiting lines, and a world that truely adepts to your actions. This is what MMORPG cannot be, and Guild Wars, in its own unique class as a CORPG can.
